Pascal's Manale
Open since 1913 Pascal's Manale invented one of the cornerstone dishes of New Orleans cuisine – BBQ shrimp. A good friend of then owner Pascal Radosta, Vincent Sutro came in one night raving about some dish he had eaten in Chicago. He explained it to Jake who tried to recreate the dish with his Louisiana spin. When he served his (re) creation to Vincent, he asked if it was the same and Vincent said: "NO, it is better!" Pascal then immediately put it on the menu. The rest is history! The BBQ Shrimp are the restaurants lasting contribution to local and global cuisine. Pascal's is a key stop on any serious New Orleans food tour.
